About Faye

Faye Magneson, is a physician who lives in South Bend, Indiana where she spent many years practicing medicine.  She’s been fighting ALS with all of her might for many years. ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a disease in which there is no cure and that disables the brain’s ability to communicate with the body, resulting in complete paralysis but leaving the mind fully in-tact. Faye has touched so many lives as a compassionate physician and person. She truly is an inspiration to all who know her. Because of Faye, we have chosen to put on the St. Pat's 24 Hour Race, in South Bend, Indiana to benefit the Friends for Faye fund and ALS TDI.  It is our belief that every little bit will help find a cure for this ravaging disease.

About ALS TDI:

The Friend’s for Faye fund resides with ALS TDI based in Cambridge, MA. ALS TDI was founded in 1999 and has become the world’s leading ALS translational research center. ALS TDI allocates 85 cents per dollar towards research and executes a robust discovery program. Built by ALS patients and families frustrated by the pace and quality of conventional research, ALS TDI has pioneered an industrialized drug development and validation model that produces world-class data at unprecedented volumes and speeds. Enhanced by an innovative open-source science approach and nonprofit business model, ALS TDI is paving the way to finding an effective treatment for ALS. Please join us in the fight to find a cure!
